Most enquiries are for garages. Bare concrete gives off dust that ends up in the house and on the car, and it soaks up oil and brake fluid. Coating it in epoxy seals the concrete, wipes clean and makes the whole garage lighter.
The usual choice is a flake finish: a coloured base coat with vinyl flakes broadcast into it and a clear topcoat over the top. The flakes disguise dust and minor scuffs, and the texture adds some grip. Near the door, where the Free State sun gets in, a UV-stable topcoat stops the floor yellowing.

How a quote works

How long does an epoxy garage floor take?
A single garage is often done in two days and a double in two to three. You can usually walk on it after a day and park on it after five to seven days. Cold winter mornings slow the curing, so the installer will tell you the timing for your floor.
Can epoxy go over an old painted floor?
In most cases the old paint gets ground off first. Epoxy bonds to whatever is under it, and loose paint underneath is what makes most recoated floors peel.
Is an epoxy floor slippery?
A smooth gloss finish can be slippery when wet. Flake floors have some texture, and fine grit can be added to the last coat for garages, ramps and outside areas.
